Demolition of the old General Electric Factory site at 6901 Elmwood Avenue in Philadelphia’s Eastwick neighborhood has been started to make way for a new Amazon warehouse. The warehouse will hold 141,360 square feet of space. Bencardino Contractors is providing site work, including demolition of the old foundation, clearing, earth moving, grading, underground utilities, underground basins, city tie-ins, and paving.
