Reiterating our commitment to employee safety, our company hosted a half-day employee training course to educate the excavating crew on new diagnostic tools for its excavation equipment.

Organized by Lou Bencardino, the exercise helped the company's mechanics learn about the capabilities of computer diagnostic equipment for their Caterpillar machinery. The newly-acquired diagnostic technology enables the mechanics to detect the cause of issues happening with the equipment and allows the employees to be more efficient with their time on a daily basis.

"By investing in new equipment like this diagnostic technology, we are providing our staff with the tools to be successful on the job," said owner Lou Bencardino. "This year, we have focused on reinvesting in the company while providing a full range of services to our clients. In fact, recently one of our crew members earned his inspection license, which now allows us to do all equipment inspections in-house - enabling Bencardino Excavating to be even more efficient and productive."

Some of the other strategic investments we have made this year include the purchase of three new backhoes, a milling machine for stripping roadways and an asphalt roller for constructing roads. The acquisition of this equipment allows the company to offer full-service excavating capabilities - all under one roof. Bencardino Excavating's Safety Committee also offered a training program to machine operators and on-site workers regarding on-the-job hand signals for on-site safety for all workers.
