Success Stories
When Merck & Co. needed a utility tunnel, plus a total
utility relocation in six months, start-to-finish, Bencardino worked with
Bovis Lend Lease to get the work done. The job required excavation of 50,000
yards of dirt and 25,000 yards of rock, as well as substantial shoring to
build a tunnel that was 25-feet deep and 40-feet wide. The biggest challenge
for Bencardino was to keep the utilities in service the entire time. Not only
were all utilities maintained and uninterrupted during the process, but Bencardino
also finished the job ahead of schedule. (Testimonial…)
Shoemaker Construction called Bencardino in on a job for Princeton
University, one that required excavation of 20,000 yards of earth,
10,000 of which was rock. The job required substantial shoring and lagging
for a permanent, in-place shoring system. Because of Princeton's student population,
there were also numerous safety concerns and regulations involved. Bencardino
was able to comply with all rules and regulations, and work within specific
means to get the job done right on-schedule. (Testimonial…)
Commerce Bank is a franchise that works on a very tight agenda, usually requiring work to be done in 10 weeks, start-to-finish. A Commerce job always requires demolition clearing and complete site work, including specialty items such as Belgian block curbing. Scheduling is critical, and the bank had problems with site contractors in the past. When Adams-Bickel brought Bencardino on to do the work, our guys showed up when they were supposed to. Bencardino was consistent, and we continue to be so -- getting the job done on time, every time. (Testimonial…)
